OBJECTIVES ARTSCENE

• The festival is aimed at French and English teachers who already teach or would like to teach drama, and exchange experiences with other teachers.
• We look for professional workshop leaders and directors who can assist the teachers; and help teachers to start their own drama project.
• During our drama festival the groups meet up and show their play, participate in workshops, exchange ideas with other groups, their teachers and directors, and learn from professionals.
• The festival is part of a year project: the process is even more important than the end result, for participants as well as workshop leaders/directors.
• We give participants an opportunity to express themselves in a foreign language in a dynamic and creative way.
• At the same time we motivate young people to really immerse themselves in a foreign language. We make them aware of cultural differences, stimulate exchange and create a sense of mutual tolerance.
