INFO FOR TEACHERS

The Artscene project is aimed at young people who are interested in drama in a foreign language.The groups that join this project commit themselves to participating in the "Artscene Festival" in English or French. The Artscene festivals strive to get young people improving their communication skills in a foreign language through theatre and performance. During an Artscene festival we organise workshops for all the participants, there are forums, cultural activities, professional performances, reviews... Roeland invites a number of foreign groups to the festivals as well. All participants will be staying in Ghent. At the start of each festival the foreign groups get the opportunity to have a look round the historic city of Ghent. After the final performance all participants are invited to a party and a happy get-together.
 

TRAINING SESSIONS FOR TEACHERS

Our training sessions objectives for teachers are:

• Training: given that it is not easy to put into practice theatre and creativity, we collaborate with actors and directors who are used to giving theatre-training sessions.
• Performing: you can make your students perform by going through this creative process and it is the perfect way to get to know each other.
• Interchanging: to share and compare your experiences with other teachers and directors, to listen to problem situations or get some input from successful activities. To give and get!
