Activities

• Practice your Dutch three to four times a day during fun language workshops adjusted to your level.
• You will be immersed in the rich culture and unique atmosphere of Ghent, but with a modern twist. We will visit the lesser-known side of the city, marvel at the hidden graffiti art and enjoy the lovely weather at the Graslei alongside the city’s many, many university students.
• The visit to Plopsa Belgium has something for everyone: will you pick one of the many family attractions, or do you dare to take on one of the huge roller coasters?
• Daily sports and games ensure that you can get rid of your excess energy.
• In the evenings we socialise with board games or soda and smalltalk during bar time, but you might also be treated to a festive casino evening or a pyjama movie night. Who knows what's in store!
• The camp concludes with an unforgettable party. Don't forget to bring your most dashing outfit and your best dance moves!

Full immersion

Please note: this camp is organised entirely in Dutch, and participants will be required to stick to the target language at all times. We therefore expect participants to have at least a basic level of Dutch: they can introduce themselves, talk about their feelings, ask simple questions and understand everyday questions and instructions without much difficulty. If you have any doubts whether this is the correct fit for your child, please contact us!

Excursion

Our visit to Plopsaland is sure to raise the adrenaline levels. Start with one of the many beautiful family attractions, then move on to the roller coaster of your dreams. Do you prefer the old-school clattering of the authentic wooden roller coaster, or the more modern “Ride to Happiness”, by Tomorrowland? For the real daredevils, there is “Anubis, the Ride”, a mega roller coaster which will (literally) turn your world upside down. There will be plenty of things to talk about as you sit down to rest and have some ice cream.
