GO BACKLearning Dutch while having fun in the Netherlands
Is there a better place for young adventurers to learn Dutch than in the green heart of the Netherlands? From our safe spot in Heino Summer camp, you will take your first steps in learning Dutch and push your limits during a variety of fun activities. Before you know it, you will be playing soccer in Dutch, asking "again?" after a ride during our trip to Hellendoorn amusement park and saying "yummy!" when we bake pizza together. Summing up this camp in one word? "Unforgettable!"
Activities
- At this camp we will mainly be focusing on playful discovery of the Dutch language. We will practice the basics of Dutch once or twice a day during playful language workshops in small groups based on language level.
- The camp coaches, whose native language is Dutch, will speak Dutch all the time, but we provide bilingual moments so that everyone understands everything. Participants are allowed to speak their home language in between.
- You will be sure to get more than enough exercise thanks to the sports and big games on offer!
- Sing along! You will be learning some great, catchy Dutch songs. You will be sure to get more than enough exercise thanks to the sports and big games on offer!
- The location is perfect for young adventurers, with lots of activities on offer including archery, a high rope course and lots more. There is a swimming pool, a theatre, a mini golf course and even a private beach, where you can enjoy a wonderful ice cream!
Excursions
In Salland, nature is always close by. We even have deer you can feed right around the corner! During our trip to Hellendoorn adventure park, you can choose from all kinds of attractions, from the little train over Dreumesland and a ride on the white-water rapids to thrilling roller coasters for the daredevils. There is even a giant water park! Which water slide do you prefer?
Type of camp: entry-level camp
At these camps for beginning speakers, you can still speak your native language with other participants. During bilingual moments, you will receive information in Dutch and in your native language so that you understand everything well. At all other times, the camp coaches will only speak the target language and help you learn as many new words and phrases as possible. You will playfully learn the language during language workshops in small groups adapted to your level and there is also a lot of attention to language during the other activities. As your knowledge of the target language grows, we will challenge you more and more to speak the target language. That way, you will learn to express yourself better and better in the target language!

Coach transport
Coach transport is not included in the basic price and amounts to 90 euros (return).
Location
Heino Summer camp is a prime location for outdoor activities, with its own private beach, swimming pool, high rope course, all kinds of sports facilities (tennis, basketball, football, table tennis, beach volleyball, etc.), two large grass fields for big games and much more. The Sallandse Heuvelrug nature reserve and the Twents Reggedal are also located nearby. In the evening we will be enjoying the large campfire together or watching a movie in the cosy cinema. Camp participants sleep in snug dormitories for 4, 6 or 8 people. Boys and girls always have separate dormitories.
